The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Friday. The deceased driver is 64-year-old Craig Stevenson of Upper Marlboro.
On August 7, 2026, at approximately 2:05 pm, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Church Road and Oak Grove Road in the unincorporated section of Upper Marlboro. Stevenson was pronounced deceased at a hospital.
The preliminary investigation revealed Stevenson was traveling on Oak Grove Road when, for reasons now under investigation, his car veered off the roadway and ultimately crashed.
As always, investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dash camera or home surveillance footage that may have captured the incident to contact the Prince George’s County Police Department. Even if you believe your footage may not be significant, it could provide valuable information to assist investigators.
