PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Camp Springs

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances of a fatal shooting Wednesday night in Camp Springs. The deceased victim is 24-year-old Anthony Day Roberts of Camp Springs. A second person, an adult male, was also shot. Preliminarily, his injuries are not considered life-threatening. In this case, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

On November 8, 2023, at approximately 9:40 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 6300 block of Auth Road. Once on scene, officers located Day Roberts in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The surviving victim was transported to a hospital from the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
