Suspended Officer Indicted by Grand Jury

A Prince George’s County grand jury today indicted a suspended Prince George’s County police officer. Corporal Anthony Coleman was indicted on six charges in connection with a fatal crash in July of 2025 in Brandywine. At the time of the collision, Coleman was off duty and driving a personal vehicle. The second involved driver was killed in the crash.

Immediately following the collision, the corporal’s police powers were suspended. Consistent with the Maryland Police Accountability Act, he is now suspended without pay following today’s indictment. An Internal Affairs Division administrative investigation is ongoing.

He joined the agency in 2017.
