Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Community Services Division, in conjunction with community partners and faith-based organizations will be hosting its Third Annual Leadership & Life Camp.
The goal of the summer camp is to provide a supportive environment for teens and enhance their leadership skills by participating in workshops and group activities about team building, college preparation and law enforcement.
The first Leadership & Life Camp session was held the week of July 11th at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. There will be (2) additional one week sessions for the duration of this month. The second session, which covers District IV and V, began Monday, July 18th at the Oxon Hill Lutheran Church. The third session will be held on the Northern end of the county at the Elks Lodge covering Districts I & VI on July 25 – 29, 2011.
“It is with great pleasure to partner with our community leaders and faith-based organizations to provide our youth with a safe environment in which to grow and develop into future leaders.” said Chief Mark Magaw.
