28th Annual Cora Rice-Prince George’s County Police Department Community Christmas Party for Deserving Children a Huge Success!

Prince George's County, Maryland …On Saturday, December 3, 2011, the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Community Services Division, along with numerous community partners, hosted the 28th Annual Community Christmas Party for Deserving Children at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland.  Commanders, officers, and civilian employees from the police department, joined by numerous community volunteers, treated over 500 children from the Prince George’s County Public School System to a day full of Christmas cheer.  The day’s activities included festive decorations, good food, live entertainment, and photos with Santa Claus.  Each child also received several Christmas gifts at the end of the party.
“This is such a magical time of year.  We are grateful, once again, to have the opportunity to provide these children with some Christmas joy,” said Police Chief Mark A. Magaw.
