The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section is investigating a residential robbery that occurred in the Berwyn neighborhood within the City of College Park.
At approximately 12:15 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 8400 block of 48th Avenue for a call of a residential robbery. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a University of Maryland student, suffering from head trauma. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown suspect(s) kicked in the front door of the residence while the victim was asleep. The suspect(s) struck the victim in the head with a hard object and fled the scene with personal property belonging to the victim.
This afternoon, officers canvassed the area. No suspect was located.
