The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested six
suspects in connection with Tuesday’s murder in Suitland.
On July 22, 2014, at about 1:45 am, patrol officers were
called to the 4600 block of Huron Avenue for the report of a stabbing. When
they arrived, they found 54-year-old Amos Milburn Jones, of no fixed address,
suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals an argument between
the victim and suspects escalated to the fatal stabbing. Patrol officers
and homicide detectives arrested all six suspects within eight hours of the
crime. The suspects are identified as:
18-year-old Jose Eduardo Menjibar-Alaman, 3100 block of Swann Road in Suitland
20-year-old Oscar Alberto Parada, 3200 block of Swann Road in Suitland
23-year-old Jose Irving Guzman Dominquez, 3200 block of Swann Road in Suitland
18-year-old Jose Martinez Serrano, 3200 block of Swann Road in Suitland
18-year-old Almicah Sergovir, 2600 block of Colebrooke
Drive in Temple Hills
17-year-old Katherine Abigial Lopez, 4700 block of Arizona Avenue in Las Vegas, NV
They are all charged, including the 17-year-old as an
adult, with first-degree murder. They have given statements admitting to
varying degrees of involvement.
Chief Magaw
today said, “This is a senseless crime that needlessly ended a man’s life. Such blatant disregard for any member of our community is deplorable. I’m
grateful to our officers and detectives for quickly closing this case.”
They are being held at the Department of Corrections on a
no-bond status.
