PGPD Arrests Suspect in Landover Homicide

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing in Landover. The suspect is 31-year-old Darnell Franklin Adams of the 6500 block of Columbia Terrace in Landover. The victim is 48-year-old James Talvin Wells of West Forest Road in Landover.

On March 17, 2015, at about 6:55 pm, patrol officers were called to the 7200 block of Landover Road for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived, the officers found Wells suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officers found and arrested Adams shortly after the stabbing. On March 21, 2015, Wells died of his injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and victim got into an argument that escalated into the stabbing. Adams has been in custody since the day of the attack. He is now charged with first degree murder and remains on a no bond status.
