Ten Firearms, Hundreds of Rounds of Ammunition Recovered in Shooting Spree Search Warrant

Prince George’s County Police investigators this afternoon recovered ten firearms, including a .223 semi-automatic pistol, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from the home of a suspect arrested in connection with multiple shootings around Maryland. Members of the PGPD confirmed through ballistics that four shootings since February 24, 2015, were connected:

Feb. 24, 2015: Arundel Mills Blvd., Anne Arundel Co.
March 2, 2015: Mall in Columbia, Howard Co.
March 3, 2015: Intercounty Connector, Prince George’s Co.
March 3, 2015: NSA, Anne Arundel Co.

Anne Arundel County Police arrested Hong Young, 35, of the 4900 block of Daisey Creek Terrace in Beltsville on March 3, 2015. The PGPD executed the search warrant at Young’s home today. All of the weapons recovered today were legally owned by Young. Investigators believe that a fifth shooting on March 2, 2015, at a store in Anne Arundel County is also connected, though it has not been definitively linked through ballistics.  Young remains in police custody in Anne Arundel County.
