Detectives to Canvass Temple Hills Community in Homicide Investigation

This evening, Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit detectives plan to canvass a Temple Hills community where a man was fatally shot last week. The victim is 20-year-old K’Shon Jerome Johnson. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On March 23, 2016, at about 9:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of 28th Avenue for a shooting. When they arrived, they found Johnson outside in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive. This evening, investigators will pass out Crime Solvers flyers seeking information in this case. The canvass is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm in the 3800 block of 28th Avenue.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
