Homicide
Unit detectives are actively working to arrest the suspect who fatally shot a
man in Adelphi. The victim is 37-year-old Ruben Garcia-Ramos of Laguna Road in
Adelphi. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to
an arrest and indictment in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe
this was a random crime.
On
March 22nd, at approximately 5:45 pm, patrol officers responded to
the 1900 block of Laguna Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived
on scene, officers found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died of his injuries several hours later.
Detectives
are working to identify a suspect(s) and establish a motive.
