Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the City of District Heights on Saturday. The victim is 32-year-old Antoine Colter. He was most recently living on Constitution Avenue in Northwest Washington. The preliminary investigation reveals this was not a random shooting.
On December 8th, at approximately 5:25 pm, patrol officers were called to the 6800 block of Atwood Street for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Colter suffering from gunshot wounds inside of an apartment. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
