They are charged with the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Eric Smith Jr. of 68th Place in Seat Pleasant. The suspects are in custody in Delaware awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.

On December 28th, at approximately 11:35 am, patrol officers were called to a home in the 200 block of 68th Place for the report of a shooting. They located the victim outside on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later.

The preliminary investigation reveals the shooting stemmed from an on-going dispute between Larence Godfrey and the victim. Following the shooting, both suspects fled the state and were located in Delaware. In Prince George's County, they are charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
