Detectives with our Sexual Assault Unit identified and arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary and sexual offense that took place Sunday in the Landover area. The suspect is 25-year-old Leslie Williams of the 3500 block of 65th Avenue in Landover.
On April 7th, at approximately 6:00 am, patrol officers
were called to a home in the 3000 block
of Meadow Trail Lane.
The preliminary
investigation reveals the suspect broke into the home,
inappropriately touched the victim and then
fled. The victim and suspect do not know each other.
Through the course of the
investigation, Williams was developed as the suspect. He
is charged with first and third degree burglary and fourth degree sexual
offense.
