The Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man on Thursday in District Heights. The victim in 28-year-old Kenneth Morris III of Capitol Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On October 20, 2022, at approximately 2:05 pm,
officers responded to a gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane. The
victim was located in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was
pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are working to identify the
suspect(s) and determine a motive.
