The Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man Saturday night. The victim is 51-year-old Michael Westpoint of Washington, DC. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On April 8, 2023, at approximately 11:10 pm, officers responded to
the 2600 block of Kent Village Drive for a report of a shooting. Once on scene,
officers located Westpoint outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was
pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators
are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive.
