The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in the unincorporated section of District Heights. The victim is 33-year-old Brian Ray Campbell of Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On April 30, 2023, at approximately 3:45 am, officers responded to the 7800 block of Berry Place for a shooting. Campbell was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
