The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating after a student at G. James Gholson Middle School in Landover brought a loaded gun onto school property.
This morning, at approximately 11:00 am, the PGPD was notified that Prince George’s Schools security personnel recovered the gun from an eighth grade male student. A teacher had observed the weapon on the student in a classroom and notified administrators.
The 14-year-old student will be charged with handgun on person, dangerous weapon on school property, possession of a firearm by a minor and loaded handgun on person.
