Suspect in Custody for Commercial Robbery; Search for Second Suspect Underway

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit identified and charged a suspect in connection with a recent robbery at a convenience store in Landover Hills. The suspect is 52-year-old Lamont Wilks of Bladensburg. Detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying his accomplice.

Unidentified Suspect

The preliminary investigation revealed that on January 2, 2024, at approximately 11:20 pm, two suspects robbed a convenience store in the 6600 block of Annapolis Road. The suspects threatened the employee before stealing multiple items from the business. The victim was not injured.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified Wilks as one of the two suspects. With the assistance of the PGPD’s Fugitive Squad, Wilks was located and taken into custody on February 7, 2024. Detectives are asking for the community to call with any information on the identity of the second suspect. A cash reward is available.
