PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in the unincorporated section of Bowie on Monday. The deceased driver of one of the involved vehicles is 52-year-old Antonio Bernal Gonzalez of Alexandria, Virginia.

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 1:30 pm, officers responded to a collision in the 2700 block of Enterprise Road. Bernal Gonzalez was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The preliminary investigation revealed the vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Enterprise Road. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
