PGPD Investigating Fatal Hit-And-Run Involving E-Bike in Capitol Heights

**UPDATE 8/19/25** Investigators are seeking assistance from the community in identifying a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on August 15, 2025, on Shell Street & Billings Avenue in Capitol Heights. They believe the vehicle is a blue 2001-2003 Ford F-150 Super Crew, which likely has damage to the front end.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run that involved an e-bike that occurred on Friday night in Capitol Heights. The deceased rider is 45-year-old Dameian Wilson of Capitol Heights.
 
On August 15, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Shell Street and Billings Avenue for a collision. Officers located the victim in the roadway suffering from trauma. He died on the scene.
 
The preliminary investigation indicates that Wilson was traveling northwest on Shell Street when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection with Billings Avenue. The driver did not remain at the scene. Investigators believe that the striking vehicle is a blue Ford F-150.
