The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday afternoon in the unincorporated section of Takoma Park. The victim is 20-year-old Victor Bastardo Reyes of Beltsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On August 17, 2025, at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Ave. Officers located Bastardo Reyes in the roadway near the shooting scene suffering from gunshot wound(s). He died a short time later at the hospital.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
