The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Temple Hills. The deceased driver is 28-year-old Christopher Umanzor of Waldorf.
On March 27, 2026, at approximately 9:10 pm, officers responded to the 4300 block of Branch Avenue for a collision involving two vehicles. Umanzor died of his injuries at the scene. The second involved driver and his passenger were not injured.
The preliminary investigation revealed, for reasons now under investigation, Umanzor’s vehicle struck the rear of the second involved car, causing both vehicles to veer off the road. Umanzor’s vehicle ultimately struck a guardrail.
