Detectives Release Images of Items Stolen from Homicide Victim & Shoes Worn by Suspect

Homicide Unit detectives are asking for the community’s assistance as they continue to actively investigate the recent fatal shooting of a teen in Bladensburg. The victim is 17-year-old Bryan Alvarado-Esquivel of Georgia Avenue in Northwest Washington. He was shot and killed on June 18^th. The suspect stole several of Bryan’s personal items following the shooting – including the above pictured Gucci belt and watch. A necklace was also taken.

This fatal shooting occurred on June 18^th at approximately 1:55 pm. Maryland-National Capital Park Police as well as PGPD officers responded to a park in the 5300 block of Varnum Street for the report of a shooting. The victim was discovered outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The suspect was seen running from the area wearing this type of distinctive blue tennis shoes. He was also wearing light blue jeans and a black tank top. The suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 20 years old, about 5’2” with shoulder-length dreadlocks or braids.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in Langley Park

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of a man Wednesday morning in Langley Park. The victim is 28-year-old Felipe Gonzalez-Len of 14^th Avenue in Langley Park. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. 

On July 4^th, at approximately 3:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 8300 block of 14^th Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Gonzalez-Len outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.

Robbery Investigation

Robbery Unit detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect who targeted a pharmacy on Silver Hill Road in District Heights. The pictured suspect – who wore a wig while committing the robbery – jumped the counter, assaulted an employee and stole cash. This happened on June 28^th at approximately 6:30 pm. Anyone with information on this suspect’s identity is urged to please call 301-772-4905 or 1-866-411-TIPS. We are offering a reward of up to $2,500.  

Theft From Auto

Investigators are also working to make an arrest in a theft from a vehicle in Clinton. Someone broke into the victim’s vehicle on Branch Avenue on June 27^th. The preliminary investigation reveals that a short time after the theft, the two pictured suspects were captured on surveillance video trying to use a credit card stolen in the theft at a nearby convenience store. Robbery Suspects

These three suspects are wanted for robbing a drugstore. On June 27^th, at approximately 4:10 am, they walked into the business on New Hampshire Avenue. The suspects demanded cash and prescription medication. Please call 301-772-4905 or 1-866-411-TIPS. We are offering a cash reward. 

PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Clinton

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle in Clinton. The victim is 27-year-old Marcus Smith of Piscataway Landing Drive in Clinton.

On June 30^th, at approximately 1:40 pm, officers responded to the 10300 block of Piscataway Road for the report of a collision. The victim was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The preliminary investigation reveals Smith, who was operating a motorcycle, was heading eastbound on Piscataway Road. The driver of a Ford van was heading westbound and attempted to make a left turn into a driveway. The motorcycle and van collided as the van was making the turn. The van’s driver suffered minor injuries.
