The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect with fatally shooting her husband inside of their home on Saturday. The victim is 53-year-old Damian Ward of Bowie. The suspect is 50-year-old Nicole Lanett Ward.
On July 19, 2025, at approximately 1:45 am, officers were dispatched to the couple’s home in the 13200 block of Old Chapel Road in the unincorporated section of Bowie. Officers located the victim inside suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during an argument.
Nicole Ward is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. She’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
