PGPD Releases Surveillance Video & Photos of Murder Suspect


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit released video of the suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting on Saturday in Oxon Hill. In the video, the suspect is seen walking away from the scene immediately after the murder of 31-year-old Deon Damien Thomas of Washington, DC.  A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On July 12, 2025, at approximately 8:20 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill. Officers located Thomas outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.




Here are two additional photos of the suspect after the shooting. Detectives are asking anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts to please call Homicide Unit detectives at 301-516-2512. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
