PGPD Investigate Homicide in Oxon Hill (7-Eleven)


Cpl. Mike Rodriguez interviewed about homicide of a 7-11 employee.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police are on the scene of a fatal shooting of a Fort Washington 7-Eleven employee.
Corporal Mike Rodriguez, spokesman for the Prince George's County Police Department, says officers were called to the 7-Eleven in the 9200 block of Oxon Hill Road around 3:27 Thursday morning for a report of unknown trouble. Once officers arrived on scene they found a male employee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Corporal Rodriquez tells 9NEWS NOW the fatal shooting appears to be the result of a robbery.
Right now investigators are on the scene working to pull surveillance video and talk to any possible witnesses. Rodriguez says there was another employee at the store at the time of the shooting.  It is unclear whether or not there were customers inside the store when the incident occurred.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
