PGPD Arrests Four Suspects in Murder of Alphonso Drew

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested four suspects for the murder of 55-year-old Alphonso Drew in Brandywine.  The suspects are identified as 20-year-old Moshawn Tianno Magruder of the 5300 block of Clay Terrace in Northeast Washington, 20-year-old Erica Shonte Johnson of the 4500 block of Dix Street in Northeast Washington, 20-year-old Eric Donte Johnson of the 4500 block of Dix Street in Northeast Washington and 19-year-old Antonio Garland Johnson of the 3100 block of 15th Place in Southeast Washington.

On May 12, 2013, at approximately 5:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 12900 block of Old Indian Head Road for a welfare check call.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found Drew unresponsive inside his home.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.  An autopsy determined he died as a result of blunt force trauma.

The investigation reveals the motive was robbery.  The four suspects have admitted their involvement in the murder.  They are each charged with first degree murder and related charges.   Antonio Johnson and Magruder are being held at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.  Erica Johnson and Eric Johnson are currently in custody in the District awaiting extradition.

Dang shame. Nobody even looks remorseful...not yet at least. The sound of the judges gravel and the words "Life in prison" normally does it.
