The Prince George’s County
Police Department is investigating a fatal car crash in Clinton.
On May 8, 2013, shortly after
3:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 11900 block of Brandywine Road for a
single car crash. Upon arrival, patrol officers found the 17-year-old male
driver unresponsive inside the car. He was pronounced dead on the
scene.
The preliminary
investigation reveals the teenager was driving on
Brandywine Road when he lost control of his car, left the roadway and struck a
tree. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating why he
initially lost control. At this time, weather does not appear to be a factor.
The victim was wearing his seat belt.
