Chief Mark Magaw, command staff and members of the Prince George's County Police Department proudly participated in the annual "Christmas in April" event this weekend. "Christmas in April" is a non-profit organization that repairs homes for low-income and disabled homeowners. PGPD members first began volunteering with this great organization back in 1989.
Police officers who are skilled in home repair served as house captains. House captains were tasked with organizing volunteers and acting as the on-site managers. The PGPD worked on six homes. One home in each district station.
The homes were in Hyattsville, Forestville, Temple Hills, Beltsville and two were in Upper Marlboro.
