The
Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and
Reconstruction Unit is investigating a double fatal collision in Capitol Heights.
The victims are 34-year-old Christopher Jackson of 55th Street in
Northeast DC and 34-year-old Shadella McDowney of Alice Avenue in Oxon Hill.
On
April 15th, at approximately 2:30 am, patrol officers responded to the
intersection of Boundary Avenue and Opus Avenue for a collision involving a
single car.
The preliminary
investigation reveals the car was heading northbound on Boundary Avenue, when
for reasons which remain under investigation, it left the roadway and struck a
utility pole. Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead on the scene.
