The Prince George’s County Police
Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Glenn Dale. The deceased driver is 22-year-old Samuel Oriloye of Good Luck Road in Lanham.
On April 16th, at approximately
1:35 am, an officer on patrol on Glenn Dale Boulevard near Bell Station Road
discovered a crash scene involving two cars. One of the cars was on fire. That
officer and a fellow officer rushed to provide aid to the two involved drivers.
Oriloye was pronounced dead on the scene. The second driver suffered what
appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary
investigation reveals this was a head-on collision between the two cars. For
reasons which remain under investigation, it appears Oriloye was driving the
wrong way in the southbound lanes of Glenn Dale Boulevard.
