Homicide Unit detectives are
actively working to arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man Wednesday
evening. The victim is 29-year-old James Edwards of Lamont Drive in New
Carrollton. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information
leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act.
On May 9, 2018, at
approximately 6:10 pm, patrol officers responded to Annapolis Road at the
Baltimore-Washington Parkway for the report of a shooting. Officers found
the victim in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead
on the scene.
