PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Sunday morning. The deceased driver is identified as 71-year-old Moses Yogaraj of Temple Hills. 

On May 15, 2022, at approximately 10:55 am, officers responded to the 9000 block of Central Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights for a collision involving two vehicles.   

The preliminary investigation revealed Yogaraj was attempting to make a left turn into a shopping center from westbound Central Avenue. While making that turn, his car was struck by another car that was heading eastbound on Central Avenue. Yogaraj was pronounced dead on the scene.  The other involved driver was transported to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Choque

La Unidad de Análisis y Reconstrucción de Choques investiga un mortal choque que se registró el domingo en la mañana. El fenecido conductor fue identificado como Moses Yogaraj, de 71 años y vecino de Temple Hills.

El 15 de mayo de 2022, a eso de las 10:55 am, oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 9000 de Central Avenue en un sector no-incorporado de Capitol Heights tras recibir información sobre un choque entre dos vehículos.

La investigación preliminar reveló que Yogaraj intentaba hacer un viraje hacia la izquierda desde Central Avenue oeste para entrar a un centro comercial. Mientras intentaba hacer el viraje, su auto fue impactado por otro vehículo que viajaba en dirección este sobre Central Avenue. A Yogaraj le declararon muerto en la escena. Al otro conductor involucrado le trasladaron a un hospital para atender lesiones menos graves.
