The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with the murder of his girlfriend. The suspect is 32-year-old Harry Lindsey of Landover. He’s charged with fatally shooting 29-year-old Sharita Cristwell of Bladensburg.

On July 5, 2025, at approximately 3:35 pm, officers responded to a shooting inside of an apartment in the 700 block of Stretford Way in the Landover area. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene. With the assistance of the Metro Transit Police Department which provided critical surveillance video, detectives were able to gather information about Lindsey’s whereabouts. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Fugitive Unit located and arrested him Sunday morning in Capitol Heights.

The preliminary investigation revealed Lindsey shot the victim during an argument. Lindsey is charged with first and second degree murder. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on no-bond status.
