PGPD Collecting Coats for Those in Need

The Prince George’s County Police Department is once again partnering with the One Warm Coat Organization to collect coats for those in need in our community. We are asking for clean, gently used coats and jackets. All sizes, colors and shapes are welcome. Last year, the department helped collect more than 1,500 coats and we’d love to get even more this year!

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that supports and encourages coat drives. It helps individuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country collect coats and deliver them free of charge to people in need. More than 1,000,000 coats have been collected since 1992.

Collection boxes are set-up at locations throughout Prince George’s County including at the six PGPD district stations. Please refer to the One Warm Coat Website: www.onewarmcoat.org for collection points near you. For more information, please contact the Prince George’s County Community Services Division at (301) 909-7126.
