PGPD Investigates Double Fatal Collision in Temple Hills

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a double fatal crash in Temple Hills. The victims are 34-year-old Delonte Antwuan Tobe and 31-year-old Shalaya Moore-Tobe. Both lived in the same home on Shallow River Road in Clinton.

On September 6, 2015, at about 1:50 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Kirby Road and Tinkers Creek Drive for a crash involving two vehicles. When they arrived, they found the driver and passenger of one of the cars suffering from critical injuries. Tobe and Moore-Tobe later died at a hospital. The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals the two deceased victims had just turned right onto Kirby Road from Tinkers Creek Drive when they were struck by the second vehicle. That vehicle had been traveling westbound on Kirby Road. Preliminarily, it appears that the second vehicle had crossed the center line on Kirby Road in order to pass two cars which had slowed down to let the victim's car turn onto Kirby Road. When the second involved vehicle moved backed into the westbound lane, it struck the victim's car.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at (301) 731-4422.
