The
Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide this morning in District
Heights. The victims are 27-year-old Samuel Paige of Suitland Road in Suitland
and 26-year-old Kevin Muse of Gateway Boulevard in District Heights.
Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of
up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and
indictment in this case.
At
about 4:30 am, officers with the District Heights Police Department and the
Prince George’s County Police Department responded to the 6500 block of Halleck
Street for a shooting. The officers found Paige shot inside of a crashed car.
He was pronounced dead on the scene. Muse was found a short distance away from
the car. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Detectives
are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
