Detectives to Canvass Brandywine Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation

This evening, detectives with our Homicide Unit plan to canvass a Brandywine neighborhood where a man was fatally shot on Monday. The victim is 22-year-old Ra’ Shaad Hargrave of Streamview Drive in Waldorf. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At about 1:45 pm on Monday, patrol officers were called to the 15100 block of General Lafayette Boulevard for a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s). The canvass is set to begin at 7:00 pm at the intersection of General Lafayette Boulevard and Chaddsford Shoreside Court.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgcrimesolvers.com and submit a tip online.
