Assault Victim Dies of Injuries; Suspect Charged With Murder

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with the death of his roommate. The suspect is 22-year-old J’Wuan Gallman of the 4600 block of Edmonston Road in the Bladensburg area. He’s charged with fatally assaulting 57-year-old Lee Andrew Ross, Jr.

On June 14th, at approximately 1:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 4600 block of Edmonston Road for the report of a fight. The victim was found unresponsive in a bedroom. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The suspect told responding officers he had been in a fight with the victim. He was taken into custody at the scene and charged with attempted murder and related charges.

Ross never regained consciousness and on June 27th he died of his injuries. Gallman is now charged with first and second degree murder. He remains in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
