PGPD Arrests Suspect Linked to 18 Thefts in 24-Hour Period

Prince George’s County Police officers arrested a suspect linked to at least 18 thefts from autos in a 24-hour period. The suspect is 34-year-old Terry Johnson of no fixed address. He is charged with multiple thefts, property damage and other related charges. 

On July 11th, at approximately 4:30 am, a citizen called 911 to report a theft from a vehicle on Berrywood Lane. Prince George’s County patrol officers quickly responded to the scene. While canvassing the neighborhood, the officers spotted a man who matched the description of the suspect wanted for a series of recent car break-ins in that area. Johnson was apprehended after a brief foot chase. He had property from several theft victims in his pockets.

Johnson is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
