Fatal Shooting in Langley Park Under Investigation

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night in Langley Park. The victim is 26-year-old Wuilian Montepeque Mejia. His last known address is in Los Angeles. A second man was also shot. He remains hospitalized with critical injuries.

On March 27, 2021, at approximately 10:10 pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of Merrimac Drive for a reported shooting. The officers located Montepeque Mejia inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim was located outside and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.

Bajo Investigación Mortal Tiroteo Ocurrido en Langley Park

La Unidad de Homicidios del Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s investiga un mortal tiroteo que se registró el sábado en la noche en Langley Park. La víctima fue identificada como Wuilian Montepeque Mejía, de 26 años de edad. Su último domicilio establecido era en la ciudad de Los Angeles. Un segundo individuo también resultó herido por bala. Este permanece hospitalizado por heridas severas.

El 27 de marzo de 2021, a eso de las 10:10 pm, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 1100 de Merrimac Drive tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Los oficiales hallaron a Montepique Mejía con múltiples heridas de bala dentro de un auto. A este le declararon muerto en la escena. Los oficiales hallaron a la segunda víctima fuera del mismo y le trasladaron a un hospital para recibir atención médica.
