Suspect in Armored Truck Robbery in Custody; Effort Underway to Arrest Additional Suspects

Jerronta Bryant

The Robbery Unit identified and charged a suspect in connection with the armed robbery of an armored truck outside of a bank in late 2025. The suspect, 31-year-old Jerronta Bryant of Capitol Heights, is now in custody. Detectives are actively working to arrest additional suspects. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to arrests and indictments in this case.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 8:25 am, officers responded to the 8800 block of Woodyard Road in Clinton for the armed robbery of an armored truck. The driver suffered minor injuries during the robbery.

The preliminary investigation revealed multiple suspects approached the victim as he prepared to deliver cash to the bank. After stealing more than $500,000 in cash, the suspects fled the scene.

Through various investigative techniques, Robbery Unit detectives identified Bryant as one of the suspects. On Wednesday, the PGPD’s Fugitive Unit, which is part of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested Bryant in Washington, DC, where he remains in custody pending extradition to Prince George’s County. During his arrest, a firearm was recovered.

Bryant is charged with armed robbery and related offenses.
