PGPD Lieutenant Nominated for Wall of Fame

The Prince George’s County Police Department is proud to announce that the Beltway Plaza Mall has nominated Lieutenant John Boesman as its first police officer to be featured on its Wall of Fame.
Lieutenant Boesman was selected for his bravery on March 18, 2013, at the scene of a vehicle fire in Springdale.  Without any regard for his own safety, Lieutenant Boesman rushed towards the flames to try to free the trapped driver.  During the rescue attempt, Lieutenant Boesman suffered burns to his hands and face.
Members of the community are welcome to attend the ceremony.
