PGPD Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Capitol Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Capitol Heights. The victim is 33-year-old Tony Clarence Jones of no fixed address.

On October 31, 2015, just after 2:00 am, patrol officers responded to the 4800 block of Addison Road for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car. When officers arrived, they found Jones, who was the passenger on the motorcycle, suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The motorcycle’s driver suffered critical injuries. The three occupants of the car were not hurt.

Preliminarily, the investigation reveals the car had been parked along the eastbound curb of Addison Road. The driver pulled away from the curb and began making a U-turn to head westbound. At that moment, the motorcycle heading eastbound on Addison Road struck the side of the turning car.
