On January 1, 2016, at about 7:20 am, patrol officers with
the Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department and the Prince George's
County Police Department were called to the trail in the 6100 block of Ager
Road for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering
from trauma to the upper body. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and
determine the motive.
