Detectives Arrest Suspect in Homicide at Gas Station in District Heights

The Homicide Unit arrested the suspect wanted for a fatal shooting at a gas station in District Heights on Monday. The suspect is 18-year-old Stephon Robinson of the 6600 block of Atwood Street in District Heights.

On January 30th, at approximately 4:40 pm, patrol officers responded to a gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane for a shooting. They found the victim, 20-year-old Carrington Daye, Jr., inside of the business suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminarily, detectives believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the suspect and victim. Robinson is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
