The Homicide Unit arrested two suspects in connection with the
homicide in Accokeek on Monday. The suspects are 24-year-old Donvain Hodges of
the 13500 block of Piscataway Drive in Fort Washington and 19-year-old Cessna
Blow of the 2300 block of Anvil Lane in Temple Hills. They are charged with
fatally shooting 28-year-old Timothy Sherod of Lavall Court of Glenarden.
On February 13th, at about 8:00 am, an off-duty Prince Georges
County Police Officer was alerted to an unresponsive man in a car in the 3300
block of St Marys View Road. Sherod was found suffering from gunshot
wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals a dispute over money led to
the fatal shooting.
Hodges and Blow are charged with first and second degree murder
and related charges. They are in the custody of the Department of Corrections
on a no-bond status.
