Homicide Unit detectives are working to arrest
the suspect who fatally shot a man in Suitland early this morning. The victim
is 18-year-old Tyrek Walker of Sycamore Lane. A cash reward of up to $25,000 is
being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On July 5th, at about 1:25 am, patrol
officers were called to the 2500 block of Darel Drive for the report of a
shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside suffering from a
gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
