PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

The Homicide Unit is working to identify the shooter(s) who shot a woman on Tuesday evening. The victim died of her injuries on Wednesday. She is 23-year-old Phajia Hutchinson of Silver Spring. A second person, a teenager, was also shot. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

 

On May 4, 2021, at approximately 7:15 pm, officers responded to the 6700 block of Walker Mill Road in the unincorporated section of District Heights for a shooting. Hutchinson was located inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. The second victim was located outside. Both victims were transported to the hospital.

 

Investigators are actively working to determine a motive and identify suspect(s).

PGPD Investiga Mortal Tiroteo

La Unidad de Homicidios busca identificar al individuo que le disparó a una mujer el martes en la noche. La víctima murió de sus heridas el miércoles. Esta fue identificada como Phajia Hutchison, de 23 años de edad y vecina de Silver Spring. Una segunda persona, a quien identificaron como adolescente, también resultó herida. No obstante, sus heridas no se consideran graves.

El 4 de mayo de 2021, a eso de las 7:15 pm, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 6700 de Walker Mill Road, en un sector no-incorporado de District Heights, tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. A Hutchison le hallaron con heridas de bala dentro de un vehículo. A la segunda víctima le hallaron en las afueras del mismo. A ambas las trasladaron a un hospital.

Nuestros detectives buscan determinar cuál fue el motivo e identificar posible(s) sospechoso(s).
